Rivendell functioned as the primary digital developer for Tenleytown Main Street, providing comprehensive services to this Washington, DC  Main Street neighborhood marketing and destination organization committed to promoting local businesses. Since the project’s initiation, we have delivered a dynamic website along with a mobile app, continuously enhancing their functionalities based program updates. Based originally  on a thorough Needs Analysis and best practice research from Main Streets across the region and the nation we created customized API and CRM integrations tailored to the organization’s needs and ensured a seamless user experience across all devices. Particularly noteworthy is the interactive business directory on the website, accessible via both map and list views and integrated with Google Maps, which offers immense value to both customers and businesses by facilitating visual location and information markers. We continue to provide ongoing maintenance, supervise the website, and implement technical upgrades, reinforcing our commitment to supporting the community’s digital presence.

Recognizing the client’s need for a platform that could be easily managed without advanced technical knowledge, we opted for WordPress due to its user-friendly, flexible design capabilities that allow for easy updates and management. The addition of a mobile app creates a seamless digital experience, providing residents and visitors with real-time access to site content, including business promotions and local events, directly from their smartphones. We also integrated essential third-party APIs and CRM systems, which are widely used across many Main Streets, to ensure a cohesive and efficient user experience. This integration supports vital functions such as event scheduling, customer relationship management, and enhanced interactive mapping features, further streamlining the connection between businesses and the community.
