Rivendell was engaged by the Greenville Housing Authority to re-imagine their web presence. The legacy site was built on proprietary .net solution which required enormous effort for even the simplest of edits.  Moreover, the information was not organized in a way that easily guided visitors to the information they needed.  After a comprehensive content review and with the input from key internal stakeholders we developed a content architecture that was intuitive and user friendly.  From there we were able to use WordPress and Guttenberg blocks to give TGHA a versatile website that they could manage in house with little assistance.  Additionally, we did a full ADA audit of the prior site and implemented practices to ensure the site was certified as accessible to all audiences.  The final site is managed and hosted on a secure server optimized for WordPress sites.

TGHA style guide, navigation, how buttons behave and updated logos

After conducting an initial assessment of the Greenville Housing Authority’s objectives and analyzing website usage metrics, we collaborated with key stakeholders to develop a strategic plan for the website redesign. This process included creating a new sitemap and wireframes to improve navigation and user experience. We engaged in detailed discussions with our primary stakeholder to refine the content flow and ensure prominent display of essential information. The redesign was an iterative process, incorporating stakeholder feedback at every stage and integrating the visual design to reflect the organization’s brand identity. Once the framework was established, we seamlessly migrated all existing content, both text and images, into the newly structured environment. This collaborative effort resulted in a website that looked, performed and served the community better than before and empowered the organization to manage their own site with the needed flexibility to help serve the community.
