When we first began working with the DC Cooperative Housing Coalition, they were still working off their very first website, an HTML based managed via FTP file uploads. The site was virtually impossible for a layperson to manage, and particularly an organization like this, which is comprised of busy professionals who volunteer to make the Coalition viable.
We evaluated the old site and the analytics, and surveyed the users to gauge which sections and features were most important for their daily, monthly and annual needs. Based on the feedback, we developed a fully responsive site in a WordPress environment enabling the Coalition to manage the site themselves. Of course, we provide back-up and make any changes they need in a timely manner. Over the course of our relationship, we have provided support for minor site refreshments and feature upgrades as well as for the organization’s centennial!
